Season Overview
Arsenal's 1994-95 season was marked by turmoil off the pitch. Manager George Graham was sacked in February 1995 following the "bung" scandal involving irregular transfer payments, with Stewart Houston taking over as caretaker. The Gunners finished a disappointing 12th in the Premier League. However, the season's highlight came in the Cup Winners' Cup, where Arsenal reached the final before losing to Real Zaragoza in heartbreaking fashion thanks to Nayim's iconic lob from the halfway line in the last minute of extra time.
Key Players
Ian Wright remained the team's talisman and leading goalscorer. David Seaman was a commanding presence in goal, while Tony Adams and Lee Dixon anchored the famous back four. Paul Merson contributed in attack, and John Hartson joined in January 1995 to bolster the forward line. This JVC-sponsored Nike away kit is a distinctive piece from a turbulent but memorable campaign.
