Season Overview
The Australia national football team, managed by Frank Farina, experienced significant activity in Oceania during the 2002-2004 period. In 2002, Australia participated in the OFC Nations Cup, where they reached the final but finished as runners-up. The team then went on to win the 2004 OFC Nations Cup, which also served as qualification for the 2006 FIFA World Cup, securing their place in the 2005 FIFA Confederations Cup.
