Season Overview
The 1994-95 season was a remarkable one for Bolton Wanderers, managed by Bruce Rioch. They finished third in the Football League First Division with 77 points and secured promotion to the Premier League after winning the play-off final. The team also enjoyed a memorable run in the Coca-Cola Cup, reaching the final at Wembley where they were narrowly defeated 2-1 by Liverpool. In the preceding 1993-94 season, Bolton had a notable FA Cup run, reaching the Quarter-Finals after eliminating Premier League sides Arsenal and Aston Villa.

Prolific striker John McGinlay was a standout player, being the top league goalscorer in both the 1993-94 season with 25 goals and the 1994-95 season with 16 goals.
