Season Overview
The 2004-05 season was a challenging one for Borussia Mönchengladbach, which saw them finish 15th in the Bundesliga. The club had a turbulent season with three different managers: Holger Fach, Dick Advocaat, and finally Horst Köppel, who guided the team to safety. Their DFB-Pokal campaign was short-lived, ending in a first-round exit to Bayern Munich II.
Key Players
Despite the team's struggles, the squad featured some notable talent. Oliver Neuville was a key figure in attack, finishing as the team's top scorer. The midfield was marshalled by players like Peer Kluge and Ivo Ulich, while the defence was held by Jeff Strasser and Marcell Jansen.
