Season Overview

Under manager Dunga, Brazil won the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup, defeating the United States 3-2 in the final. They also topped the CONMEBOL qualifiers for the 2010 FIFA World Cup. At the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, Brazil reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated by the Netherlands.
