Season Overview
The 2010-11 period saw the Brazil national football team participate in significant international tournaments. In 2010, under manager Dunga, Brazil competed in the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, where they advanced from their group before being eliminated in the quarter-finals. Following the World Cup, Mano Menezes took over as coach in July 2010. In 2011, Brazil participated in the Copa América held in Argentina, reaching the quarter-finals of the tournament.
