Season Overview

The 2014-15 period was a tumultuous one for the Brazil national team. Hosting the 2014 FIFA World Cup under manager Luiz Felipe Scolari, the team reached the semi-finals before a stunning 7-1 defeat to Germany, ultimately finishing in fourth place. Following the World Cup, Dunga was appointed as the new manager in July 2014 and led the team into the 2015 Copa América, where they were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Paraguay.
