Season Overview
The 2002-2003 season marked Fulham's 105th in professional football and their second consecutive campaign in the FA Premier League, where they finished 14th. Jean Tigana managed the club until April 2003, when Chris Coleman took over as caretaker manager. Fulham achieved European football for the first time in their history by winning the UEFA Intertoto Cup, subsequently reaching the third round of the UEFA Cup. They also reached the Fifth Round of the FA Cup and the Fourth Round of the League Cup.
Key Players
The squad featured notable players such as goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar, defender Steve Finnan, and midfielder Steed Malbranque, who was the club's top league goalscorer. Forward Louis Saha and midfielder Junichi Inamoto, who scored a hat-trick in the Intertoto Cup final, were also key contributors to the team's efforts in this vintage football shirt era.
