Season Overview
During the 2002-03 season, the Greece national football team competed in the UEFA Euro 2004 qualifiers under manager Otto Rehhagel. They were drawn in Group 6 alongside Spain, Ukraine, Armenia, and Northern Ireland. In 2002, Greece suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Spain and a 2-0 away loss to Ukraine, but secured a 2-0 home victory against Armenia in October.

The squad during this period featured several players who would become integral to Greece's future success, including midfielder Theodoros Zagorakis and striker Angelos Charisteas.
