Season Overview
The 2011-12 season marked Ipswich Town's tenth consecutive year in the Football League Championship, the second tier of English football. Under manager Paul Jewell, the club finished the Championship season in 15th position. Ipswich Town exited the League Cup in the first round after a defeat to Northampton Town. Their FA Cup campaign concluded in the third round following a loss to Hull City.
