Season Overview
Under manager Fabio Capello, Juventus finished first in Serie A in the 2004-05 season, though this title was later revoked due to the Calciopoli scandal. The team demonstrated strong domestic form with both the best attack and defense in the league, scoring 67 goals and conceding only 27. In the UEFA Champions League, their journey ended in the quarter-finals after being eliminated by Liverpool.
Key Players
The squad featured a formidable lineup including goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon and defenders Lilian Thuram and Fabio Cannavaro. The midfield was marshalled by Pavel Nedvěd and Emerson, while the attack was led by Alessandro Del Piero, David Trezeguet, and new signing Zlatan Ibrahimović, who scored 16 goals in his debut league season.
