Season Overview
In 2010, the Lebanon national football team participated in the qualification campaign for the 2011 AFC Asian Cup. The team played two matches in Group D of the qualifiers during this year, drawing one against Vietnam and losing another to Syria. Lebanon ultimately finished last in their group for the 2011 Asian Cup qualification. Emile Rustom was the head coach of the national team, having been re-appointed in November 2008.

The squad for the 2010 period included notable players such as Hassan Maatouk, who would go on to become the national team's top scorer. Other key players in the team during this era included Mahmoud El Ali, who scored in a 2010 qualification match, and defender Ali Hamam. Elias Freije and Mohamed Korhani were also part of the national team squad.
