Season Overview
The 2022-23 season marked Liverpool's 131st year in existence and their 61st consecutive season in the top flight of English football. Under manager Jürgen Klopp, the club competed in the Premier League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, and UEFA Champions League. Liverpool began the season by winning the FA Community Shield, defeating Manchester City. Despite this early success, the team finished 5th in the Premier League, reached the fourth round of both the FA Cup and EFL Cup, and were eliminated in the Round of 16 of the UEFA Champions League.
