Season Overview

Norway competed in the UEFA Euro 2016 qualifiers, finishing third in Group H under manager Per-Mathias Høgmo, and subsequently lost in the play-offs to Hungary, failing to qualify. For the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, Norway was in Group C and did not qualify for the tournament. Per-Mathias Høgmo managed the team during the initial part of the World Cup qualifiers, with Lars Lagerbäck taking over in February 2017.
