Season Overview
The 2015-2016 season marked Olympiacos's 57th consecutive year in the Super League Greece. Under manager Marco Silva, the club secured their sixth consecutive Super League Greece title, which was their 43rd overall. Olympiacos also competed in the Greek Football Cup, reaching the final where they were defeated by AEK Athens. In European competitions, they participated in the UEFA Champions League group stage before moving to the UEFA Europa League, where they reached the Round of 32.
Key Players
Key players for Olympiacos during this successful vintage football shirt season included Kostas Fortounis, who was the top goalscorer in the Super League Greece and also recorded the most assists. Goalkeeper Roberto contributed significantly with the most clean sheets in the Super League Greece. Midfielder Esteban Cambiasso and forward Brown Ideye were also notable members of the squad, alongside Alejandro Domínguez.
