Season Overview

The 2011-12 season marked a new era for Paris Saint-Germain following the takeover by Qatar Sports Investments. Under manager Antoine Kombouaré, and later Carlo Ancelotti who took over in December, PSG finished 2nd in Ligue 1, just behind champions Montpellier. The club reached the quarter-finals of the Coupe de France and were eliminated in the group stage of the UEFA Europa League.
