Season Overview
In a transitional 2001-02 season, Parma finished 10th in Serie A but found major success in the cups. Under manager Pietro Carmignani, who took over during the campaign, the team captured its third Coppa Italia title, overcoming Juventus in a dramatic two-legged final on the away goals rule.
Key Players
This squad was led by the goalscoring prowess of Marco Di Vaio, who finished as the team's top scorer. The side also featured defensive icon and future World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro, goalkeeper Sébastien Frey, Japanese star Hidetoshi Nakata, and French playmaker Johan Micoud.
