Season Overview

The Sweden national football team, managed by Lars Lagerbäck, competed in the UEFA Euro 2008 qualification campaign throughout 2007, successfully securing their place in the tournament. At Euro 2008, held in Austria and Switzerland in June 2008, Sweden was drawn into Group D alongside Greece, Spain, and Russia, but did not progress past the group stage. Following this, the team participated in the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers during 2008 and 2009, ultimately failing to qualify for the tournament.
