Season Overview

The 2015-16 season saw Tranmere Rovers compete in the National League, the fifth tier of English football, following their relegation from League Two. Under manager Gary Brabin, the club finished in 6th position in the league. In cup competitions, Tranmere Rovers were eliminated in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup by Lincoln City. They also participated in the FA Trophy, where they exited in the First Round after a match against Wrexham.
