Season Overview
The 2005-06 season was a successful one for Ajax, marked by two domestic cup victories. They began the campaign by winning the Johan Cruyff Shield, defeating PSV 2-1. The team went on to win the KNVB Cup, again beating PSV in the final with a 2-1 scoreline. In the Eredivisie, Ajax finished in 4th place, and they competed in the UEFA Champions League, reaching the Round of 16.
