Season Overview

The 2011-12 season saw the France national football team, under the management of Laurent Blanc, continue its qualification campaign for UEFA Euro 2012. France successfully topped their Euro 2012 qualifying group. They participated in the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament, where they progressed from the group stage after drawing with England and defeating Ukraine. France ultimately reached the quarter-finals of the competition.

Yoann Gourcuff, wearing the number 8, was part of the France national team squad during the 2011-12 season and was included in the preliminary squad for Euro 2012. He primarily operated as an attacking midfielder, known for his playmaking abilities.
