Season Overview
The 1997-98 season, managed by Walter Smith, saw Rangers finish a close second in the Scottish Premier Division and as runners-up in the Scottish Cup. Under new manager Dick Advocaat, the 1998-99 season was a resounding success, with the club securing a domestic treble by winning the Scottish Premier League, the Scottish Cup, and the Scottish League Cup.
