Season Overview
The 2002-03 season saw Inter Milan mount a strong challenge for the Serie A title, ultimately finishing as runners-up to Juventus. The club had a memorable run in the UEFA Champions League, reaching the semi-finals where they faced city rivals AC Milan. After two legs, the tie finished 1-1 on aggregate, with Inter being eliminated on the away goals rule in a famously close contest. In the Coppa Italia, their campaign ended in the Round of 16.
Key Players
Under the management of Héctor Cúper, the squad was filled with notable talent. Christian Vieri finished the season as Serie A's top goalscorer with 24 goals, supported in attack by Hernán Crespo. The team also featured defensive stalwarts such as Fabio Cannavaro and Iván Córdoba, with Javier Zanetti captaining the side.
