Season Overview

The 1998-99 season was a turbulent one for Juventus, who finished in 7th place in Serie A. The club saw a mid-season managerial change, with Marcello Lippi departing in February to be replaced by Carlo Ancelotti. Despite domestic struggles, Juventus reached the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League, where they were eliminated by eventual winners Manchester United.

The squad was filled with iconic players, though key figures like Alessandro Del Piero and Zinedine Zidane suffered from significant injuries during the season. The attack was led by Filippo Inzaghi, who was the team's top scorer, and the side also featured talents like Edgar Davids, Didier Deschamps, and a young Thierry Henry who joined mid-season.
