Season Overview

The 1991-1993 period saw Manchester City compete in the top tier of English football under player-manager Peter Reid. In the 1991-92 season, the club finished 5th in the Football League First Division, marking their third consecutive season in the top flight. The following season, 1992-93, was Manchester City's inaugural campaign in the newly formed Premier League, where they secured a 9th-place finish. During this time, the team reached the Third Round of the FA Cup and Fourth Round of the League Cup in 1991-92, and the Sixth Round of the FA Cup in 1992-93.

Key players for Manchester City during these seasons included David White, who was the leading goalscorer in both campaigns. He was joined by influential figures such as striker Niall Quinn, defender Keith Curle, and midfielder Steve McMahon. Player-manager Peter Reid also featured in the squad, guiding the team from the dugout and on the pitch.
