Season Overview

This away shirt spans the 1990-91 and 1991-92 First Division seasons. Howard Kendall began the 1990-91 campaign in charge before departing for Everton in November 1990, with Peter Reid stepping up as player-manager. Manchester City finished 5th in the First Division in both seasons — back-to-back top-five finishes in the final years before the Premier League era.

Key Players

Niall Quinn led the line as the club's top scorer in 1990-91, supported by winger David White. Tony Coton was the first-choice goalkeeper, while Keith Curle arrived in the summer of 1991 as a club-record signing and captained the side. Player-manager Peter Reid also featured regularly in midfield.
