Season Overview
The 2011-12 season was significant for the Mexico national football team, as they secured the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup title, defeating the United States in the final. This triumph earned them a place in the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup. Under the management of José Manuel de la Torre, Mexico also participated as an invited guest nation in the 2011 Copa América, where they competed in Group C. The team also began their qualification campaign for the 2014 FIFA World Cup during this period.
