Season Overview
As defending Serie A champions, AC Milan began the 2011-12 season by winning the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter Milan. The club finished as runners-up in Serie A, just four points behind Juventus. In the UEFA Champions League, the Rossoneri reached the quarter-finals where they were eliminated by Barcelona. The team also made it to the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, where they were knocked out by Juventus.
Key Players
Under the management of Massimiliano Allegri, the squad was filled with legendary talent. Zlatan Ibrahimović was the team's top scorer with 28 league goals, while other key players included Thiago Silva, Clarence Seedorf, Alessandro Nesta, and Filippo Inzaghi, for whom this was their final season with the club.
