The 2017-18 season saw FC Barcelona, under manager Ernesto Valverde, achieve a domestic double. The club secured the La Liga title, finishing first in the league standings. They also lifted the Copa del Rey trophy. In European competition, Barcelona reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League.
