Season Overview

The 2006-07 period saw Brazil navigate two distinct eras under different managers. Under Carlos Alberto Parreira, the defending champions entered the 2006 World Cup as favorites but were eliminated in the quarter-finals by France. Following the tournament, Dunga took charge and led a revitalized, albeit less star-studded, squad to victory in the 2007 Copa América, defeating Argentina 3-0 in the final.
