Season Overview
The 2004-05 season was a historic one for Chelsea as they won their first Premier League title, finishing with a then-record 95 points. This was their first top-flight league title in 50 years. The team also won the League Cup, securing a domestic double. In the UEFA Champions League, they reached the semi-finals. The side set remarkable defensive records, conceding only 15 goals and keeping 25 clean sheets throughout the league campaign.

Managed by José Mourinho in his debut season, the team was built around a strong defensive core. This included captain John Terry, Ricardo Carvalho, and goalkeeper Petr Čech. The midfield was anchored by Claude Makélélé, with Frank Lampard finishing as the team's top scorer, while the attack was led by Eiður Guðjohnsen and Didier Drogba.
