Season Overview
Under new player-manager Glenn Hoddle, the 1993-94 season was one of transition for Chelsea. The club finished 14th in the Premier League but enjoyed a memorable run to the FA Cup Final, their first since 1970, where they were defeated by Manchester United. Despite the loss, this achievement secured their qualification for the following season's European Cup Winners' Cup.

Key figures in the squad included captain Dennis Wise, defender Steve Clarke, and goalkeeper Dmitri Kharine. The attacking threat was provided by Gavin Peacock and Mark Stein, who joined mid-season and became the team's top league goalscorer.
