The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) national football team participated in the UEFA European Championship 1992 in Sweden, having qualified as the Soviet Union before its dissolution. Managed by Anatoliy Byshovets, the team finished last in Group B (Group 2) with two draws and one loss, failing to advance past the group stage. They secured draws against Germany and the Netherlands before a 3-0 loss to Scotland in their final match.
