Season Overview

The 1992-1994 period saw Corinthians compete in various domestic competitions, including the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and the Campeonato Paulista. In 1992, the club finished 5th in the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A and reached the Round of 16 in the Copa do Brasil. The 1993 season saw Corinthians reach the final of the Campeonato Paulista, ultimately finishing as runners-up. In 1994, Corinthians concluded the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 7th position and advanced to the semifinals of the competition.

Key Players

During these seasons, striker Viola, wearing the number 9, was a prominent figure for the club, returning to Corinthians in 1992 and becoming the top goalscorer in the Campeonato Paulista in 1993. He was also part of the Brazil squad that won the 1994 FIFA World Cup. Walter Casagrande Júnior, another iconic forward, also wore the number 9 upon his return to the club in 1994. Other notable players included midfielder Neto and long-serving goalkeeper Ronaldo Giovanelli.
