Returning to Serie A after a year away, the 1994-95 season was a respectable one for Fiorentina under manager Claudio Ranieri, securing a 10th-place finish. The club also reached the quarter-finals of the Coppa Italia. This campaign marked the beginning of a legendary partnership between new Portuguese signing Rui Costa and star striker Gabriel Batistuta.

Key new arrivals, playmaker Rui Costa and Brazilian defender Márcio Santos, were crucial to the team's performances.
