Season Overview

The 2010-2011 season saw the Germany national team, managed by Joachim Löw, compete in the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Germany secured a third-place finish in the tournament, defeating Uruguay in the third-place play-off. Following the World Cup, the team began their successful UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying campaign, achieving a perfect record in their group during this period.
