Season Overview

The 2015-16 season saw Manchester United compete in the Premier League, FA Cup, League Cup, UEFA Champions League, and UEFA Europa League under manager Louis van Gaal. The club finished 5th in the Premier League standings. A significant achievement for the Red Devils was winning the FA Cup, securing their 12th title in the competition. In European competition, Manchester United participated in the Champions League group stage before moving to the Europa League, where they reached the Round of 16.

Key Players

The squad featured prominent players such as captain Wayne Rooney, goalkeeper David de Gea, and emerging talent Anthony Martial. Midfield stalwarts like Bastian Schweinsteiger and Juan Mata also played key roles throughout the campaign. Young forward Marcus Rashford also made his breakthrough during this vintage football season.
