Season Overview

Spain achieved historic success in the 2012-13 season, winning the UEFA Euro 2012 tournament by defeating Italy 4-0 in the final. This victory marked an unprecedented third consecutive major international title for the team, following Euro 2008 and the 2010 FIFA World Cup. Under manager Vicente del Bosque, Spain also commenced their 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign, topping their group.

Key Players

The squad featured a host of world-class talent, including captain Iker Casillas, defenders Sergio Ramos and Gerard Piqué, and midfielders Xavi, Andrés Iniesta, and Xabi Alonso. Andrés Iniesta was named the UEFA Euro 2012 final's man of the match. Fernando Torres also contributed significantly, earning the Golden Boot as the tournament's top scorer.
