Season Overview
Under manager Pep Guardiola, Barcelona finished second in La Liga during the 2011-12 season, nine points behind winners Real Madrid. The club achieved success in cup competitions, winning the Copa del Rey, Supercopa de España, UEFA Super Cup, and FIFA Club World Cup. Their UEFA Champions League campaign concluded in the semi-finals after a 3-2 aggregate defeat to eventual champions Chelsea.
