Season Overview
During the 2008-09 season, the Greece national team was managed by Otto Rehhagel. They participated in UEFA Euro 2008, where they finished last in Group D, losing all three matches without earning any points. Following Euro 2008, Greece began their 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign, finishing second in UEFA Group 2 behind Switzerland, which secured them a spot in the play-off stage.
