Season Overview
Manchester United competed in the Premier League during the 2009-10 season, finishing as runners-up with 85 points. Under manager Sir Alex Ferguson, the club reached the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League. They won the League Cup, defeating Aston Villa in the final, but exited the FA Cup in the Third Round after a 1-0 home defeat to Leeds United.

The squad featured prominent players such as striker Wayne Rooney, who was the Premier League's top scorer that season with 26 league goals and 34 in all competitions, and veteran midfielder Ryan Giggs.
