Season Overview
Under manager Hugo Sánchez, the Mexico national team competed in two major tournaments in 2007. They reached the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, where they were defeated 2-1 by the United States. Mexico also participated in the Copa América, securing a third-place finish in the South American competition.
Key Players
This shirt carries the name of Rafael Márquez, who wore number 4 and captained Mexico during the 2007 Copa América, also featuring in the Gold Cup. Other key players for the squad that season included goalkeeper Oswaldo Sánchez and forward Cuauhtémoc Blanco. The team's kits were supplied by Adidas.
