AC Milan, managed by Carlo Ancelotti, won their 17th Serie A title in the 2003-04 season, finishing 1st with 82 points. The team also secured the UEFA Super Cup, defeating Porto. In other competitions, they reached the semi-finals of the Coppa Italia, were runners-up in the Supercoppa Italiana, and were knocked out in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Champions League by Deportivo La Coruña. They also finished as runners-up in the Intercontinental Cup.

Andriy Shevchenko, wearing number 7, was a pivotal player for Milan this season, finishing as the league's top scorer with 24 goals.
