Season Overview
The 2004-05 season was a dominant one for Olympique Lyonnais, as they secured their fourth consecutive Ligue 1 title. The team finished with 79 points, 12 clear of second-place Lille, and lost only three league matches all season. In the UEFA Champions League, the club reached the quarter-finals before being eliminated by PSV Eindhoven. The season also began with a victory in the Trophée des Champions.

Key figures included the Brazilian midfielder Juninho, who was the team's top scorer, alongside Michael Essien and Mahamadou Diarra in midfield.
