Season Overview
The 2013-14 season was a challenging one for AC Milan, resulting in an 8th place finish in Serie A, which meant the club failed to qualify for European competition for the first time in fifteen years. In the UEFA Champions League, the team successfully navigated the group stage, finishing second behind Barcelona. They were subsequently eliminated in the Round of 16 by Atlético Madrid. The club's Coppa Italia campaign ended in the quarter-finals with a defeat to Udinese.
Key Players
The season saw a mid-year managerial change, with Massimiliano Allegri replaced by former player Clarence Seedorf in January 2014. The squad featured the return of club legend Kaká, who joined a team that included notable players such as Mario Balotelli, Riccardo Montolivo, Nigel de Jong, and Keisuke Honda.
