Season Overview
Under manager George Graham, Arsenal's 1992-93 season was marked by domestic cup glory, as they became the first English club to win both the FA Cup and the League Cup in the same season. Despite this knockout success, they finished a disappointing 10th in the inaugural Premier League. The following 1993-94 season saw a significant improvement in the league with a 4th place finish, and was crowned with a major European triumph, winning the Cup Winners' Cup by defeating Parma 1-0 in the final.
Key Players
This era at Highbury was defined by a famously resilient defence featuring David Seaman, Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn, Steve Bould, and captain Tony Adams. The attack was spearheaded by the prolific Ian Wright, who was the club's top scorer in both seasons. Key midfield contributions came from players such as Paul Merson, Ray Parlour, and John Jensen.
