Season Overview
In 1998, the Australia national football team, under manager Terry Venables, competed in the OFC Nations Cup, reaching the final where they were defeated by New Zealand. The team had narrowly missed out on qualification for the 1998 FIFA World Cup in late 1997, losing an inter-confederation play-off against Iran on away goals. Australia also played several international friendly matches during the year.
Key Players
The squad featured emerging talent Harry Kewell and established defender Tony Popovic. Other notable players included striker Mark Viduka and goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac. The team's home kit for this period was manufactured by Adidas.
This is a pre-owned authentic vintage item. All kits sold at The Kit Dealer are carefully verified by our in-house authentication team, washed, and treated - unless clearly listed as brand new with tags.
