Season Overview
Under manager Johan Cruyff, Barcelona enjoyed a highly successful 1991-92 season. The club clinched the La Liga title, finishing in 1st position. They also achieved their first-ever European Cup triumph, beating Sampdoria 1-0 after extra time in the final at Wembley. Additionally, Barcelona secured the Supercopa de España and reached the Round of 16 in the Copa del Rey.
Key Players
The squad boasted several key talents, including Dutch defender Ronald Koeman, whose decisive free-kick won the European Cup final. Prolific forward Hristo Stoichkov was the team's top scorer in La Liga. Midfield maestro Michael Laudrup and a young Pep Guardiola were also integral to the team's success. During this period, Barcelona's shirts, manufactured by Kappa, did not carry a commercial sponsor.
