Season Overview
This shirt covers a transitional period for Chelsea, beginning with the 1990-91 season under manager Bobby Campbell, where the club finished 11th in the First Division. For the 1991-92 campaign, Ian Porterfield took over and led the team to a 14th place finish in the final season before the launch of the Premier League. The most notable cup run during this period was reaching the FA Cup quarter-finals in 1992.
Key Players
During these seasons, the squad featured club legend Kerry Dixon, who would depart at the end of the 1991-92 season. The midfield was strengthened by the arrivals of Dennis Wise and Andy Townsend, who became key figures. Other prominent players from this era included Graeme Le Saux, Steve Clarke, and Vinnie Jones, who joined for the 1991-92 season.
