Season Overview
The 2006-07 season saw Club América, under manager Luis Fernando Tena, achieve significant results across various competitions. The club finished 2nd in the Liga MX Apertura regular season and 1st in the Primera Clausura regular season. América also reached the final of the InterLiga and secured a third-place play-off finish in the Club World Cup. Notably, the club had won the CONCACAF Champions League in 2006, preceding the start of this season.

The squad featured prominent talents such as Paraguayan striker Salvador Cabañas, who was a key attacking force.
